Photographic Evidence of Thermite Cuts at The World Trade Center 7
This wide-angle picture shows a steel I-beam that was part of the west side of WTC7. The picture is taken from the Verizon building situated at 140 West street. Look at the column on the left. (Click on the picture for a bigger version.)
We get a better picture of the leftmost column by manually correcting for fish-eye distortion and perspective. Notice the slag, the irregular profile, and the blueish-white discoloration.
This beam did not break due to mechanical stress. It was clearly cut using high-temperature. Adjusting the levels, we see the discoloration better.
The irregular profile, the slag and the discoloration are consistent with a cut due to an aluminothermic reaction such as thermite burning. Thermite produces aluminium oxide (Al2O3) which has a whiteish appearence, consistent with the picture.
It might be argued that the cut was a result of debris removal work, as has been done for the famous "angle cut" picture used by Jones. But the cut on the WTC7 beam does not look like those made using torches during the WTC debris removal, examples of which are shown below. In particular we do not see a large bluish-white discoloration.
It might still be argued that a thermite-like compound was used during debris removal work, or that the aspect of the cut itself, while clearly not a mechanical break, is not conclusive towards a thermite cut. But then consider this:
The highlighted section is the area from which the picture was taken (two
windows are missing). The column is boxed in red. (Click on the picture for

This is the lower part of the steel framing of the west side of WTC7. Note that
all vertical beams of the framing are cut at approxiamtely the same height and
in the same irregular fashion.
Here is a larger view:
Note that the framing is not vertical; it tilts towards the west. If the
columns extending from that framing were cut during the debris removal phase,
we would expect them to have damaged the Verizon building one or two floors
above the hole from which the column was photographed. We see no such
damage -- only a few broken windows.
Also note that there are a few beams that lie between the framing and the
wall of the Verizon building. Clearly, if debris removal teams cut those
beams, they would have made them fall towards the debris pile and not
towards the Verizon building to avoid further damage.
The inescapable conclusion is that the thermal cuts on those beams were made
before debris removal, that is, on or before the collapse.
The official version of 9/11 has no arabs sporting oxy-acetylene torchs
or thermite cutter charges. Therefore it needs a serious reinvestigation.
